Milan Michail is the founder and principal designer of Maison Design Studio, bringing a background in architecture, interiors and construction to a deeply personal approach to residential design.Before founding Maison, Milan worked across architecture, interior design and construction, experiences that shaped the way she approaches a home today: not as a collection of individual rooms, but as one complete composition.Her architectural training gives her an instinct for proportion, circulation, sightlines and the details behind the walls, while her work in interiors brings warmth, materiality and personality to every space. She is equally comfortable discussing ceiling geometry and construction detailing as she is selecting the perfect stone, fixture or piece of furniture.What Milan values most, however, is the relationship with her clients.She intentionally keeps Maison boutique so she can remain personally involved in every project — learning how her clients live, understanding what matters to them and guiding them through the hundreds of decisions that come with creating a home.Milan does not believe in designing the same house twice.
